Yoga………..increasing backward spine flexability ??

I try to do the Cobra pose, but although my spine is flexible in bending forwards, I can barely lift my feet to my head from behind.

Any practice is not making it easier. Any tips?

When you go into the cobra position, lift you arms directly to the side so your abs learn to ingage and hold you in place (this step takes a while.) Childs pose will help you if you spine becomes very sore from this. Remember, don’t lift from your lower back, act as if you are letting your chest rise up to the ceiling untill it have no choine just to move backwards, you dont want to sprain anyting in your lower back! Keep your pelvis nuetral so each spot in your back strechtes equally. Best of luck!
