How many hours does a person need to be considered a sophomore in college?

As a high school senior I have 24 college credit hours. I’ve taken U.S. History 1301, 1302, Public Speaking 1315, American Government 2302, Composition I 1301, Composition II 1302, Business Principles/Management 1301, and Principles of Buisness 1303. I still plan on taking College Algebra, Economics, and American Government I 2301. How many hours do I need to be a sophomore in a Texas college? How many classes/hours do I need to finish my basics? (mainly UT Austin and A&M)

Well, for my school -

0.0 – 29.5 Freshman
30.0 – 59.5 Sophomore
60.0 – 89.5 Junior
90.0+ – Senior
