does yoga burn fat and calories?

i run all the time but i need something other than running to mix it up. i have heard yoga is really easy on your muscles and i a good body core exercise. is this true?

I’ve been practicing Yoga for over 7 years. It burns calories, fat, adds strength/muscle and improves flexibility.
