Christians, how do you explain other types of religious experience?
Many Christians argue that they “know God ” through experience. However, it is well documented that Christians are not the only ones that have mystical experience. Practitioners of yoga, for example, can experience deep states of peace and harmony. What they might call union with God. Since Christians believe they have “the answer”, do they attribute all of these experiences to the devil. Is all of non-Christian mystical experience evil? or delusional? If the latter, then what of Christian experience?
Delusional? No. Since I did not experience what the individual experienced, I can not explain that what they experienced was wrong, delusional, or evil. If it was real to them, then it’s real to them.
And I do not believe that Christians have a monopoly on “the answer” either.
